You should write an essay that focuses on one aspect of biotechnology in your two or three countries. In your response, you should refer directly to your sources and write a comprehensive and integrative essay. In particular, you should compare the ideas, values, technological developments, and/or attitudes of people from at least two different countries outside the US. Higher credit will be given for responses that show evidence of a systematic and comprehensive understanding of the topics involved. The narrative portion of your essay must be at least 1000 words (approximately 4 pages double-spaced). Below are some sample paper topics. This list is not exhaustive.
